Maths Club: is on every Monday at lunch time in M7. The Australia Maths Competition is the next big event. We will be doing regular practice along with our weely challenges. You are welcome to join us to discover ideas and fun in Mathematics.

10JC: You have the honour and the privilege of being the duty tutor group for Weeks 1 and 2 of Term 3. Report for duty in the corridor area outside Mr Ashby's office at 12.55pm every lunchtime. Your attendance is expected and a roll will be taken. Do not be late.
Revision Books - There are a limited number of AME workbooks (Commerce, Sciences and Maths) and Study Pass Guides and Notes (Sciences and Maths), left over from 2016 and 2017.We will be selling them at reduced prices. As they run out we will take orders, with payment up front, for the 2018 editions. We won't be keeping a stock of the new editions so don't leave it until the last minute to order!

Thinking about a career in Engineering? On Wednesday 15th August Year 13 Coll Boys will have the opportunity to visit and learn about Engineering Careers at either Harrison Grierson or Jacobs Engineering Company. You will need to first register with Mrs Sims by Thursday 2nd August, and a permission form will then need to be completed by your parents. Be quick as places fill up fast.
ATOM Photography Competition: Free to enter, and open to all Australian and New Zealand residents. The Lower Secondary category (Aus Y7-Y9 / NZ Y8-Y10) has a prize of $500 camera vouchers, and the Upper Secondary (Aus Y10-Y12 / NZ Y11-Y13) has a prize of $1000 camera vouchers!
To win, take three photographs that reflect this year's them of "this makes me happy" and enter them at atomphotocomp.org along with a short written statement (no more than 300 words) before midday AEST, Friday 7 September.

2018 Warren Trust Awards for Architectural Writing: Entries are invited into the Secondary School category of the 2018 Warren Trust Awards for Architectural Writing. Topic: What's the best building you've been to? Describe it, and say why you like it. Word limit: up to 800 words. Must be original and previously unpublished work.
