The WC Football Prize-giving will be held at the Brierley Theatre on Thursday 27 September 2018 at 6:00pm. Prize-giving is for all Football Club members and parents. The evening will close at 7:30pm.
REMINDER. The Board of Trustees Student Representative election will take place on Monday 24th September in tutor rooms. This week all students will be emailed the Candidates' statements. Voting forms will be provided to all students through their tutor folders on Monday 24th September and voting will close at Noon on Monday. Create1world competition: This competition run by Massey University is back for 2018. It is a competition that challenges entrants to use creatitvity to help us better understand and tackle problems faced by humanity in the 21st Century. We have had several students do well in this competition in the past and there are cash prizes up for grabs.
Categories sections are: short film (media studies/social studies), devise a drama (drama), poetry or short story (creative writing), compose a song (music). Competition deadline is 15th October. Impromptu Speech Competition: WC's impromptu Speaking Cup is up for grabs - will you win it? To be held week 10, Thursday 27th September, Lunchtime in the Library. Speeches are 3 mins max and you get the speaker before you as prep time.

Silent Study in the Library
Starting Monday 10th September, through to the end of the seniors' practise exams, the whole Library will operate under silent study conditions to give senior students optimum study opportunities. In practise, this means:
- No gaming, including cards/chess
- Minimal talking
- Maximum four students to a table
Junior students - you are still welcome to use the Library, but you must also adhere to the silent study conditions.

Year 9 Open Day Guides - Year 9 students who helped out at Open Day are allowed to have periods 4 and 5 off this coming Friday afternoon (21 September). Your parents have been emailed. You must sign out at the front office before leaving on Friday. If your parents did not receive the email please see the studnet reception staff.
Students interested in playing ice hockey should see Mr Roth (LBR) in S1 at interval or lunch for information. All ages and beginners welcome.

Futsal: A meeting will be held for all pupils wishing to play futsal in term four at 12:30pm on Thursday, 27 September 2018 in the sports centre. This will be the last opportunity to register for futsal, so please attend if you are interested in playing.

Schol Chem and other schol subjects: Vic Uni are holding scholarship tutorials in the October holidays focussed on giving you the best chance of passing the scholarship exams. Register online here. These sessions are extremely helpful, if you are serious about your attempt to pass the scholarship exams, make this a priority.

Golf - Year 9 and 10
The CSW Junior Golf Championships are scheduled for Wednesday 14 November at Trentham Golf Club. If you are interested in playing in this event or want more information about it, see Mr Frew in G4 (office in Sports Centre). As long as you have access to a set of clubs for the day, you can play. You do not need an official handicap.
10AJC: You have the honour and the privilege of being the duty tutor group for Weeks 9 and 10 of Term 3. Report for duty in the corridor outside Mr Ashby's office at 12.55pm every lunchtime.
